Security and privacy

Your meetings stay yours

How KHMeet protects meetings, recordings and accounts, and the controls you and your organisation have.

In the meeting

Encrypted in transit

Audio, video and screen share are encrypted between every browser and the media server.

The host decides who enters

People wait at the door until the host admits them. Hosts can remove anyone and end the meeting for everyone.

Recording is never secret

Everyone in the meeting is told when recording starts, and sees that it is on.

Remote control

Only with approval

Nobody can control a screen until the person sharing it says yes.

Always visible

A banner shows who is in control for as long as they are, with a Stop button.

Ends cleanly

Control ends when the sharer stops it, stops sharing or leaves the meeting.

Recordings and data

Shared on your terms

Share a recording only with the people you name, or by link with an optional passcode.

Deleted on schedule

Your organisation chooses how long recordings are kept; they are deleted automatically after that.

Location only with consent

People and organisations can turn location sharing off, and hosts can ask for consent first.

Accounts

Two-factor sign-in

Protect accounts with an authenticator app and backup codes.

Verified email

Accounts are confirmed by email before they can be used.

Invitation-only organisations

Organisations can let in only the people they invite.
